Jackson's Doctor did CPR Incorrectly Listen to Michael Jackson's 911 call
Could
Michael Jackson lived if his Doctor was properly trained in CPR. The
911 call was not initiated for several minutes after finding Jackson
unconscious on his bed. CPR needs to be done on a hard surface. CPR
done while Jackson was still in bed would have diminished its
effectiveness by 50%.
For CPR to be effective, first Call 911,
send someone to get an AED and FirstAid kit if one is available. Place
the victim on a hard surface and provide 30 chest compressions after
every 2 breaths. Keep doing CPR until the ambulance arrives and the
EMT's take over.
Follow the ABCDS of CPR.
Call 911,
check airway, is the victim breathing, If not breathing, give 2 one
second breaths, (watch for chest rise) begin Chest Compressions, use an
AED as soon as one is available, then check for signs of severe
bleeding and shock. When you listen to the 911 call for Michael
Jackson, you notice that much of this activity was done incorrectly.
