All courses are led by our certified instructors who have worked as either a first responder or nurse at some point in their career and can impart real-world advice to students. American Heart Association Course Offerings: AHA Heartsaver CPR AED Training Teaches adult and child/infant CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking.AHA Heartsaver First Aid Training First Aid training courses prepare your staff to quickly and confidently react to your most common workplace mishaps.

Heartsaver First Aid teaches you the basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills.

AHA Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Students will learn how to protect themselves from exposure to bloodborne pathogens, clean themselves and the contaminated area, and the proper procedure to report exposure to bloodborne pathogens in the workplace. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare providers. This course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics.

Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. For many Heartsaver courses, students receive a course completion card that is valid for 2 years.

Online/Classroom Blended CoursesParticipant completes the video instruction portion online after purchasing an online key code and then assumes responsibility for scheduling a short course in their area for hands-on experience and a skills check in order to receive certification. The online portion can be completed over the course of a year and does not have to be continuous.

Heartsaver® training courses Bloodborne Pathogens is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.

The AHA Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Course is designed for anyone with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as: Correctional Officers, Childcare workers, Security guards, Maintenance workers, School personnel, Hotel housekeepers, Health and fitness club staff, and Tattoo artists.
